Cote d’Ivoire coach Ibrahim Kamara has named his squad that will play Niger and Ethiopia in the upcoming 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers later this month.
However Kamara has given Gervinho a wide berth despite his fantastic form at Parma in the Italian Serie A.
The likes of Serge Aurier (Tottenham Hotspur), Franck Kessie (AC Milan), Zaha Wilfried (Crystal Palace) and Nicolas Pepe (Arsenal) did make the cut, however.
The Ivorians face Niger on November 16, before an away meeting with Ethiopia three days later.
Ivory Coast squad:
Goalkeepers: Gbohouo Sylvain (TP Mazembe), Badra Ali Sangare (Uthongathi), Sayouba Mande (Odense Boldklub)
Defenders: Serge Aurier (Tottenham Hotspur), Britto Willie (FC Zurich), Ghislain Konan (Stade de Reims), Wonlo Coulibaly (TP Mazembe), Ismael Traore (Sco Angers), Wilfried Kanon (Pyramids), Cheick Comara (Wydad De Cassablanca), Simon Deli (Club Bruges)
Midfielders: Franck Kessie (AC Milan), Seko Fofana (Udinese), Habib Maiga (Metz), Kouame Koffi Christian (TP Mazembe), Ibrahim Traore (Slavia Prague), Victorien Angban (Metz)
Strikers: Zaha Wilfried (Crystal Palace), Nicolas Pepe (Arsenal), Max Gradel (Toulouse), Roger Assale (Young Boys), Yohan Boli (Saint Trond), Maxwell Cornet (Olympique Lyonnais), Yakou Meite (Reading)
