Zanaco Football Club General Manager Mr Marlon Kananda says management has indefinitely suspended squad training sessions due to the coronavirus pandemic which has continued to rise in Zambia and is currently sitting at 29 confirmed cases.
Kananda says Sunset Stadium is now closed to the public.
“Squad training sessions have been cancelled based on the advice of the club medical staff and the Football Association of Zambia. Players will be encouraged to train on their own and to continue following the precautionary measures put in place by Government through the Ministry of Health by regularly washing hands with soap and remaining in doors, ” Kananda said.
Kananda added that the health and wellbeing of everyone at Zanaco and the general public is the clubs top priority during this period.
“ Our only priority during this period is the wellbeing of everyone.This action is being taken in the interests of the safety and well-being of our players, technical bench, staff and our thousands of loyal fans, ” he said.
