Uganda Cranes will play their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier aganist Pharaohs of Egypt at Nelson Mandela Stadium in Kampala.
And Thursday,August 31,2017 has been picked as the date for encounter in what will be Uganda’s third game in the race for the 2018 World Cup.
The two sides will again meet five days later in Egypt where the return match will be staged at Alexandria Borg El Arab Stadium on Wednesday 5th September starting from 8pm East Africa Time.
Second in their World Cup qualifying Group E with four points,Cranes are looking for a victory at home aganist Egypt and maybe a draw away to boost their qualification chances.
Multin Micho Sredojevic coached side has started brilliantly in the campaign,with East Africans registering a draw and a win in two matches, and has placed the team in a great position to qualify,after beating Congo and drawing to Ghana.
Egypt top the group with six points,four ahead of third-placed Ghana with Congo holding the bottom place with no point.
Uganda has never made it to the World Cup finals and hope if they register a win and a draw aganist the Pharaohs in both matches it will put them in better position to get to Russia.
