CS Sfaxien were held to a second successive Caf Confederations Cup goalless draw by Salitas FC at Stade du 4 Août in Ouagadougou on Sunday evening.
It was another frustrating day at the office for the record three-time champions who duly fall a point behind Tunisian rivals Etoile du Sahel in Group B, following the laters 2-0 win over Enugu Rangers in Nigeria earlier today.
Ruud Krol’s troops will next face Etoile in Sfax in seven days time, eager to not only add to the two goals they have scored in four matches, but also desperate to take a huge step towards qualifying for the knockout stages before their trip to Enugu later this month.
Next up for Salitas is a home showdown against Rangers in the Burkinabe capital on the 10th of March.
The Burkina Faso club will need a win next weekend if they are to keep their hopes of reaching the knockout stages alive.
