Ugandan prolific striker Dan Sserunkuma has terminated his contract at Tanzanian club Simba barely 5 months after joining from Kenyan side Gor Mahia.
Sserunkuma who has been unsettled at the club where he failed to command a starting position as used to at his former club Gor Mahia took to twitter to announce his decision on Monday.
” Today, Simba FC, myself and my agent have decided to mutually terminate my employment contract.I will now sit with my agent and decide on the best options available for my career development.I would like to thank all the Simba fans and the entire management team for all the love and support shown towards me”he said
Despite being ranked as one of the best strikers in Kenya, Sserunkuma failed to get the same hype away in Tanzania as the competition at Simba was stiff forcing him to be an unused substitute most of the time .
Earlier in March grapevine was rife that Sserunkuma was unhappy at Simba after he returned back to Nairobi but the player went on twitter to deny allegations some of which purported that he had been forced by the club officials to use Juju a fact he denied.
