Zesco United defender David “Calabar” Owino Odhiambo  is optimistic  his side can beat Supersport United  in Saturday’s CAF Confederation Cup quarter-final second leg at home.

Both teams drew the first leg encounter 0-0 and it appears there is everything now to play for in the second leg which will take place at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.

A buoyant Odhiambo who is also a regular in the Kenyan national team Harambee Stars told Soka25east.com “Getting a draw away from home was positive results and the game is now in our hands. My colleagues know what is at stake and as long as we put 100 percent effort we will get a win at home as we are more determined than before”

“Offcourse Supersport are a very good side but we want to ensure we humble them at home so that we may proceed in the competition which is very important for us “Calabar told soka25east.com

“We cannot afford to be overconfident but we have to have hopes and work on the goals so as to achieve our target which is a win”he added

The Kenya international, who has scored twice in the competition.Team Ya Ziko have done well in continental tournaments in recent times having reached the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League last season. In that edition of Africa’s most prestigious club competition, they lost to eventual champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
