Warri Wolves became the first Nigerian representative to go past the first round in CAF club competitions this year after they held Dedebit of Ethiopia to a goalless draw Sunday.
Wolves thus advanced 2-0 aggregate and will now face DR Congo’s Football Club MK Etancheite (FC MK), who sent packing Sudanese team Al Ahly Shandy.
MK beat Al Ahly Shandy 5-1 in the second leg on Friday.
They are back-to-back Congo cup winner in 2013 and 2014.
Despite missing the services of captain Azubuike Egwekwe and goalkeeper Okemutie Odah, coach Paul Aigbogun-tutored side held their own in Ethiopia.
FC MK are appearing in the CAF Confederation Cup for the second time, their first being in 2014 when they could not go beyond first round.
