Harambee Stars received a major boast after the most experienced player in the team and top striker Dennis “Kajole”Oliech arrived on Saturday evening from his base in France ready to rumble against Lesotho on Sunday at the Nyayo Stadium in Nairobi.
Oliech who missed the first leg 1-0 loss away in Maseru after his club Ajjacio failed to release him was buoyant ahead of the game calling on his colleagues to give 100 percent.
“I am happy i finally managed to travel home for the important game against Lesotho. The matches according to FIFA are not in their calendar and that is why i actually missed the first leg.Kenya is my country and i have always given my best whenever called upon and i belive it will be the same against Lesotho on Sunday”Oliech told Soka25east.com upon arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International airport.
“I am happy to be back in the team and i can assure the fans everything is well and we will ensure we get victory in the do or die .All the past issues have been forgotten and its time to forge forward together like a team”Oliech added
After being locked out by coach Adel Amrouche in the last game against Comoros there was hue and cry from the fans and football stakeholders to bring back Dennis Oliech onboard and FKF through its President Sam Nyamweya intervened to have the player recalled back to the national team as he is the most experienced having played and scored at the Africa Cup of Nations in 2004 hosted by Tunisia.
