Uganda Cranes head coach Sebastien Desabre has unveiled his final 23-man crack squad for the Total Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Egypt.
Sundowns keeper Dennis Onyango leads the list which also has inclusions of Simba striker Emmanuel Okwi, Godfrey Walusimbi currently unattached and Mike Azira of Montreal Impact, Canada.
Other notable inclusions on Desabre’s list are Faruku Miya of HNK Gorica, Croatia, TP Mazembe defender Joseph Ochaya and Timothy Denis Awanyi also a defender at KCCA FC, Uganda.
Injured duo of David Bbaka and Moses Waiswa are dropped while Ibrahim Juma and Kirizestom Ntambi have also been left out.
Uganda are in Group A together with hosts Egypt, Zimbabwe and DR Congo.
The Cranes are scheduled to take on Ivory Coast in a preparation match on June 15 before they leaving for Egypt. Desabre’s charges will take to the field in Egypt with a game against DR Congo on Saturday 22 June 2019 with kick off set for 17:30 EAT.
