Djihad Bizimana could be the latest player to feature in the Belgium top tier after he left for Brussels to try out with Jupiler Pro League outfit Waasland-Beveren.
The 21 year old’s future has been the subject of speculation in recent memories after he topped off his superb performance for APR in the Rwanda Premier League with a similarly heroic display at this year’s CHAN tournament in Morocco.
“It is true that he has left for Belgium. He will attend trials at Waasland-Beveren and we hope that he will be successful this time round,” APR general-secretary Adolphe Kalisa revealed to Soka25East.
Bizimana is expected to begin training on Thursday, and will be given a short period to impress with Bevereen who are looking to bolster their midfield.
Born in Rubavu in the Western Province of Rwanda the midfielder played for Rayon Sports for two years before crossing over to APR in 2015 on a two-year contract.
The Rwandese international will be looking to right his wrongs during a similar invite with German side Fortuna Dusseldorf’s and land a deal at Sven Vermant’s coached side.
