Djibouti will stage the CECAFA club championships also known as “Kagame Cup” next year, the body’s congress sitting in Nairobi Saturday confirmed.

The annual regional tournament meant for domestic league champions of the twelve member countries of CECAFA has not been played since the 2015 edition in Tanzania.

Meanwhile, Kenya or Sudan will host U20 championships while Tanzania will stage U17 competition.

Uganda on the other hand will stage Beach Soccer for both men and women.

CECAFA Women’s Championships 2017 edition will now be played early next year in Rwanda.

The congress emphasized the need to regularly have the annual tournaments.

The Senior Challenge Cup kicks-off tomorrow in Kenya following a one-year absence; the next hosts will be decided at a later date.
