League champions Gor Mahia face a daunting task when they host Tusker in the return leg of the Top 8 semis on Wednesday at the Nairobi City stadium.
Tusker, who won the first leg fixture at their adopted home of Kinoru in Meru courtesy of a Brian Osumba deft chip, are enjoying a fine run of form in all competitions.
Fielding a second string side on Saturday, they came from behind to knock out a resilient Western Stima in the Gotv shield.
Gor welcome back head coach Bobby Williamson, whose leadership they missed in Meru, the tactician having flown to Scotland for his mother’s funeral.
Their famous green army will be itching for revenge, for the first time in many years having been outnumbered by Tusker fans in Kinoru.
While Gor must win by at least two,Tusker need at worst a draw of any kind to advance to the finals, where either KCB or AFC Leopards lie in wait.
