DONASHANO MALAMA PENS A NEW TWO YEAR DEAL AT NKANA
Donashiano Malama is one of the players who was in the middle of transfer gossips and twists at the end of the then 2015 soccer season and one of the teams that were strongly linked with the defender is Red Arrows Football Club.
But a source close to the player have now confirmed that Donashono Malama has put ink to paper and will still be a Nkana player for two more seasons bringing speculations that he was leaving the record 12 time champions to a close
This is a boost for Nkana who are hoping to bounce back and win the 13th title in the 2016 season and Donashano remaining at the club is an indication that Nkana will be a serious threat to Zesco’s defence of the title. Nkana is one of the teams this off season that has been linked with many players but most of the transfer news still remain unclear.
They have also irked the fellow Mopani sponsored team Mufulira Wanderers by going public that they had signed Jacob Ngulube one of the best midfielders in the 2015 soccer season but Mufulira Wanderers maintains Jacob Ngulube is their player.
Another player linked with a move to Nkana and reported in the Zambian tubloid is Mike Katiba who was playing his trade at Mufulira Wanderers on loan from division one side Kalulushi Modern stars but this move looks more complicated than that of Jacob Ngulube as the player has come out clear that he won’t play for Nkana.
The news will have to wait but for Donashano, Nkana have the defender for the other two years.
Donashano Malama was born in Septemeber 1991 in Chililabombwe and started his football career at Konkola Blades in 2008. After Blades the defender took a break from football to persue his academic proffesion and later joined Konkola Mine police, the team that sold him to Nkana FC in 2013 where he was part of the winning team of the 12th title for Nkana .
He was also part of the Zambia squad for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, and played in the final group match against Cape Verde as a substitute.
