Newly-promoted Serie A side Empoli have completed the signing of Ghana’s Afriyie Acquah.
The hard-tackling midfielder joined the Stadio Carlo Castellani outfit on a season-long loan from Torino after a successful medical test on Thursday.
A message from the player’s management company ArthurLegacy on their twitter handle read:”It’s official: We’re happy to announce that @AcquahAfriyie20 has signed a season-long loan deal at @EmpoliCalcio subject to medical later today, #TransferNews #Acquah #Torino #SerieA.”
Acquah, 26 featured in 71 games since 2015 for Torino and scored 5 goals.
He has previously played for Parma, Palermo and Sampdoria.
Acquah could make his debut when Empoli host Cagliari in the Serie A on Sunday evening.
