Sofapaka versus Chemelil Sugar will get the annual KPL Top Eight Knockout tournament going this season at Moi Stadium, Kisumu before league leaders Gor Mahia take on Muhoroni Youth in the second quarter-final at the same venue on September 26.
A day later Ulinzi Stars will lock horns with Sony Sugar at Afraha Stadium while Tusker face AFC Leopards in Nairobi to complete the round of eight.
The semi-finals will be held on October 28 and the final on November 1 as the top eight teams in last year’s league battle for the Sh1million winner’s prize money.
Tusker defeated AFC Leopards 2-1 in last year’s final.
KPL Top Eight Knockout fixtures:
September 26 – Sofapaka v Chemelil Sugar (Moi Stadium, 1.45pm), Gor Mahia v Muhoroni Youth (Moi Stadium, 4.15pm); September 27 – Ulinzi Stars v Sony Sugar (Afraha Stadium, 2pm), Tusker v AFC Leopards (Nairobi, 4.15pm); October 28 – Semi-finals; November 1 – Final.
