In a major transfer coup in the DR Congo’s Linafoot, AS Vita Club has lured prolific striker Ricky Tulenge from bitter rivals DC Motema Pembe.
Ricky, 25, penned a two-year deal Thursday to join the coach Florent Ikwange Ibenge’s charges.
“Ricky Tulenge formerly of DCMP signs a two-year deal with AS Vita Club,” the Kinshasa based giants confirmed on twitter.
DCMP on the hand have not confirmed the deal and the play is coy.
“I do not confirm or deny anything either. You will know when the time comes,” Ricky told foot.cd.
Ricky’s individual prowess carried DCMP in the last Linafoot campaign where they finished third in the playoffs – earning themselves a ticket back to continental football after a period in the cold.
For his troubles, Ricky was crowned the league’s most valuable player.
In the meantime, AS Vita has officially announced release of Rwandan forward Ernest Sugira who joined the club last year from APR FC.
They have also lost Heritier Luvumbu who has joined Union Saint Gilloise in Belgium.
