Rwandan Jacques Tuyisenge made a dream debut for Gor Mahia scoring the second goal in K’Ogalo’s 3-0 win away to KK Homboyz in the Sportpesa Premier League on Saturday 2.
The win was the first for Gor Mahia this season in six attempts – a perfect gift for the new Brazilian Coach Ze Maria.
Enock Agwanda scored probably the fastest goal this season, putting the visitors ahead seconds into the match staged at the Mumias Complex.
Homeboyz picked up the proceedings thereafter pinning the reigning champions into their half, but they couldn’t penetrate the defense marshelled by Musa Mohammed.
Mike Khaduli tested keeper Jerry Onyango with a fine strike in the 5th minute but “Jagoal” was equal to the task. Tuyisenge on the other end wasted a couple of chances as he proved his aerial prowess.
The match went into the breather with Gor enjoying the 1-0 lead. On resumption Jacques Tuyisenge who was returning from a long injury scored his first league goal in the green colors in the 48th for a comfortable 2-0 lead.
Injured Tuyisenge was then substituted with Jacob Keli later into the match and the Kenyan international did not last before scoring the third goal and the final in the 81st minute – his first league goal for Gor.
