Evans Oduor,
A disappointing barren draw against Uganda’s Simba at the final game
for Kenya’s Ulinzi Stars at the East Africa Military Games in Kampala.
Ulinzi only needed a win to reclaim their title but after the draw finish second with six points, one behind eventual winners Rwanda.
It was a frustrating afternoon for the Kenyans who never played as well as they did against Burundi and the afternoon.
But they now shift their attention to the Kenyan Premier league as
they embark on their journey back to Nairobi, with Western Stima
awaiting them next Wednesday.
Victory for either sides would have seen them crowned champions but a
barren draw in a game of few chances played in the hands of APR.
Rwanda now win the title for only their second time in nine editions.
Ulinzi Stars
Starting XI: Francis Ochieng, Antony Muriithi, Geoffrey Kokoyo, Omar Mbongi, Rodgers Omondi, Churchill Muloma, Boniface Onyango, Evans Amwoka, Kevin Amwayi, Oscar Wamalwa, John Mark Makwatta
Subs; Finius Odhiambo, Ben Sande, Eric Apul, Justine Onwong’a, Salim
Mohammed, Job Muhati.
