Moses Oloya

Ugandan international Moses Oloya was part of Kuban Krasnador’ 4-1 comprehensive demolition of Neftekhimik in a Russian league match on Sunday 28. Kuban was on Wednesday 24 thumped 3-0 in a cup tie away to Energomash Belgorod.
Oloya opened his account for Kuban a week back in Kuban’s 3-1 win in another away encounter to Mordovia Saransk in the league. He now shifts attention to AFCON qualifier at home against Comoros on Sunday, September 4 at Nelson Mandela Stadium, Namboole.
“Already packing ahead of my flight back home, it’s on this Sunday.” Oloya posted on his Facebook page on Monday.

Michael Olunga

Kenya’s Harambee Stars striker has maintained his scoring streak for Djurgardens IF in the Swedish top league. The former Gor Mahia star scored his fourth league goal in four matches in Djurgardens’ 2-1 victory over Gafle at Tele 2 Arena Arena on Saturday.

Niklas Gunnarsson opened scoring for the home side in the 17th minute, a goal that lasted into the breather. Johan Bertilsson leveled for Gafle in the 70th minute, and just when all indicators pointed at a draw, Olunga had other ideas, the “Engineer” delivered a master class with his favored left right inside the box to guarantee the three points four minutes to stoppage time.

Olunga is expected in Kampala, Uganda, for Harambee Stars’ warm-up against the Cranes on Tuesday 30.

Mbwana Samatta

The Tanzanian striker scored and assisted a goal to send KRC Genk to the 2016/17 Europa League group phase on 4-2 aggregate at the expense of Locomotiva Zagreb on Thursday 4 at Luminus Arena.

Samatta scored just two minutes into the game before assisting Leon Bailey’s second in the 50th minute for a 2-0 win.
On Sunday 28, the Taifa Stars skipper played for 87 minutes before being pulled out for Bennard Yao in thier 1-0 league win versus SV Zulte Waregem at home.

David Owino

Kenyan international defender David Owino was listed in CAF’s best XI after round six of the champions league fixtures. “Calabar” as Owino is nicknamed scored Zesco United’s lone goal in their 1-1 draw against Wydad Casablanca on Wednesday 24 at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
