Editorial: Is Yaya Toure becoming a massive cry baby ?

Yaya-Tour--left-Pierre-Em-009 pierre-emerick-aubameyang_qhil6e47rzhy1dzcy5cn2iz0lThe latest outburst by Yaya Toure after failing to win a fifth African footballer of the year award is not appalling but a little bit disrespectful from the star player who has been a massive talent on the pitch.

Yaya is suddenly turning into a perennial and massive cry baby and to be sincere the least he should have done was to congratulate his opponent Pierre Emerick Aubameyang who was the first player from Central Africa to win the coveted trophy.

Yaya Toure has been a fantastic that’s without any doubt winning the presitigious award a record four times from 2011 to 2014 is no mean fete but his latest escapade cast a huge shadow on the man outside the pitch with some labeling him a sore loser who belives he is “gods gift to African football”

Yaya Toure has refered to CAF as shameful and indecent after they failed to honour him with the African footballer of the year yes he might have a valid point but was it the time for his latest outburst?Thats the big question

We clearly remember  2014 word coming from his agent, that Yaya will leave Manchester City because he felt “inadequately appreciated” during his birthday, left a lot to be desired and many n believed that Yaya Toure was just clutching at straws as he intends to force a move out of the team.

We have a lot of admiration for Yaya Toure, who has put Africa on top of the world map, but the latest sentiments don’t bode well for his career. They months after a warranted outburst, when he suggested that being African is what denied him the Footballer of the Year accolades(Ballon d’OR ). It was a scenario that we all supported but the latest outburst has left egg on his face.

According to Manchester City, Toure was presented with a cake on an MCFC flight to Abu Dhabi, along with a tweet from the club, which left him feeling “very upset”, perhaps wishing he was Roberto Carlos, who got a Bugatti from the Anzhi owner on his birthday. Look what later happened to Anzhi, who sold all their top players as they practically went bust.

Yaya Toure is one of the highest paid players in the Barclays Premier League and also the world but the recent moaning cannot help his cause if the sentiments linked to his sentiments are true as it shows he is not a good sportsman who accepts both a win and defeat in equal measure.

In his birthday rant the Ivorian midfielder Yaya Toure forgot that he earns more in a week than some of us will ever earn in our lifetime and it was time to get a grip on life and reality and think about what it’s like in some families where they even struggle to afford a cake for a child’s birthday..

Yaya Toure is bigger than the latest outbursts and I believe it;’ time to reflect deeply on his career. He is a role model that most upcoming footballers look up to for inspiration and if he feels unhappy he should see on how to address the issue with CAF rather than engage in issues that cast aspersions on the man he really is.

Advice to Yaya Toure is to get his act right and look at the bigger picture instead of suddenly turning into a cry baby for every flimsy reason. We respect and adore him as a player and need better and more mature understanding from him away from the pitch he is bigger than his latest outburst.
