Mohamed Salah scored twice to give Egypt a 2-0 victory against Tanzania in a 2017 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier played at the National Stadium this afternoon.
Salah opened the scoring in the 44th minute with a sweet freekick to give the 7 times African Champions a 1-0 lead at half time.
Tanzania who dominated the play in the first 20 minutes were lacking a cutting edge and it showed once again after the break.
Mbwana Samatta wasted a good opportunity to draw his team level when he blasted his penalty over the bar.
Salah punished Tanzania with his second goal in the 58th minute to hand the pharaohs an easy passage to Gabon 2017.
