The Egyptian Football Association have officially confirmed they have bid to host Africa Cup of Nations 2019  via an official letter sent to Confederation of African Football (CAF)

Egypt stepped into the scene after fellow North African counterparts surprisingly announced they are retracting their bid to host competition r next year after original hosts Cameroon lost their hosting rights.

“EFA have presented an official proposal to CAF in order to host the Africa Cup of Nations decided to take place in June 2019,” A statement by the Egyptian association read.

Egypt are ready to organize the competition fulfilling all the terms and conditions required by CAF between the 15th of June and 13th of July, per the statement.
