The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) readjusted on Tuesday next week’s Premier League fixtures due to the upcoming referendum on constitutional amendments set to take place on 22, 23 and 24 April.
Title contenders Ahly and Zamalek were set to play Masry and Pyramids FC on 22 April as part of their postponed games.
The Ahly-Masry game has been moved to 25 April while Zamalek will play Pyramids FC on 23 April, as the White Knights will have to play in the Confederation Cup semi-final on 26 April.
Ahly and Zamalek are entering the final sprint of one of the most contested seasons. The Red Devils have gone to the top of the table for the first time this season with 58 points, one above Zamalek.
Rising power Pyramids FC, who are backed by rich investors from the Gulf, are third with 57 points with two games more.
They could be the title decider as they will face both challengers next week, taking on Ahly on Thursday and Zamalek next Tuesday.
