Dreaded Zamalek SC fans “Ultras White Knights” want chairman Mortada Monsour out after the club forfeited a rescheduled Egyptian Premier League fixture yesterday.

Floundering Zamalek failed to show up for a match against Al Makasa, which was earlier planned for Saturday.

Due to security concerns following the recent twin attacks on Coptic Christian churches, Egyptian Football Association pushed back the tie to Sunday since Saturday is a Christian holiday in Egypt.

Both teams preferred a midweek date for the fixture but, the EFA refused to bulge.

The federation has subsequently awarded the game to Al Makasa, who honored the fixture.

Zamalek will also be docked three points at the end of the season.

The Ultras have since released a statement calling for Mortada’s head.

They blame him for the club’s troubles and have called for everyone to “save the club” from Mounsour.

Zamalek are placed 4th in the table standings 27 points adrift of arch rivals, and leaders Al Ahly.
