El Kanemi Warriors head coach Imama Amapakabo has singled out his goalkeeper Modou Jobe for his impressive performances against Kwara United and Tonadoes in the Nigeria Professional Football League.
Jobe was in his best form during El Kanemi’s one all draw against Kwara United in a league match played on Sunday in Ilorin denying the state darling team on a number of occasions and his heroics earned him praise from the tactician after the game.
“He proved he is a national team goalkeeper with good saves that kept us in the match,” the coach remarked in an interview with Score Nigeria.
“It’s fitting therefore he has been invited by his country for a friendly against Central Africa Republic this month.”
The 27-year-old goalkeeper who has been capped nine times by his country joined Warriors in November last year from Senegalese side ASC Linguere on a two year contract.
El Kanemi are currently finding life very uncomfortable at the drop zone where they are in position 18th with 13 points from 12 matches.
