Emmanuel Imorou has claimed he will not sign with loan club Cerlce Brugge this summer, and has denied that the Belgian side have an option to buy him permanently.
Instead, the Benin international looks set to head back to SMC this summer and attempt to revive his floundering Caen career.
Speaking to Cotonou-based outlet Benin Foot,Imorou said: “There is no purchase option. I have to fulfil my loan at Brugge in the best way and then, return to Caen.”
In his five years at the Caen, Imorou is spending his first loan-spell having joined in 2014 from Clermont in France.
Recently, the 29-year-old has struggled to force his way into the Promixus League side.
Imorou is at Brugge until the end of the season and now the defender is hoping to return to his parent club or join any other top side in French League.
“I still have a one-year contract to do. But then all the options are open. I can be loaned or I can be taken over by another team. We will see. At this moment I only care for my loan spell Brugge,”he concluded.
