Algerian side Entente Setif have joined both Zamalek and Zesco in the last eight of the CAF champion’s league after edging Sudanese giants AL Merreikh on away goal following a goalless draw tonight.
Entente Setif forced a 2-2 goal scoreline away in Omdurman and by drawing 0-0 they qualify on away goal rule.
This will be a huge blow to the Sudanese outfit who have been regulars at the Champions League group stages in the previous seasons. They will now have to wait for their opponents from the Confederation cup for a place in CAF’s second club tier.
