The Enyimba trio that were injured during the ding dong battle in the Nigeria Professional Football League(NPFL) clash against Lobi Stars have resumed training with the rest of the squad.
Joseph Osadiaye, Andrew Abalogu and Nasiru Sani all got hurt and could not complete the game when Enyimba battled to a barren draw in Markudi in their NPFL Matchday 16 away tie against the defending champions. They are now available for selection ahead of the Oriental derby over the weekend as Enyimba face Rangers.
“We have no fresh injury worries, the players that got injured in the game against Lobi Stars have resumed light training and we hope they can be fit in time for Sunday’s crunch game,” an official source with Enyimba told Goal.
Though there are no fresh injury headaches for coach Usaman Abd’Allah’s side, strikers Chukwude and Emeka Obioma are still not available for action.
Both Enyimba and Rangers will be going into Sunday’s derby clash on a high, having both won their respective State FA Cup games last weekend.
Rangers are leading the NPFL Group A with 31 points from 15 games while Enyimba are second on the log with 25 points from 16 games.
