The coach of Ethiopian Premier League side Fasil Kenema Zimariam Woldgiorgis successfully underwent a corrective surgery in Thailand Saturday, December 17, 2016.

“I feel good. Just fresh,” a visible happy Zimariam told Soka25east.com reporter Timotios Baye who paid him a visit at Bumrungrand International Hospital, Bangkok.

The former Adama, Bahidar and Barayu City manager, who has been down with gastrointestinal fistula is expected to leave hospital after four or five days depending on his progress.

Gastrointestinal fistula is an abnormal opening in the stomach or intestines that allows the contents to leak.

The “Emperors” have continued to do well in the topflight in his absence, and are currently placed 6th in the table standings with 7 points – 3 adrift of leaders Kidus Giorgis after four rounds of fixtures.

The league debutants drew 0-0 away to Wodia City last week, and are expected to carry their strong show into today’s match against Hawassa City at Fasiledes Stadium.

-Soka25east.com wishes Zimariam quick recovery.
