Ethiopian Football Federation is set to acquire own premises after receiving financial support from FIFA.
The EFF, established 73-years ago has been operating from Addis Ababa stadium in the Ethiopian capital, but this is set to change after receiving a donation of $3,000,000 from the world’s football body to build or buy their own “football house.”
Ethiopia has been on a massive football infrastructural development, and has thus far put up modern stadiums in Bahirdar, Hawassa, Woldia and Mekelle, with another coming up in Addis Ababa, with an eye on hosting the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The 2020 CHAN host was recently chosen as the only African country and one of the six venues to stage 11 FIFA Executive Football Summits, which will take place in Addis (February 21-23) next year.
