By Staff Reporter,
Ethiopia Walia Ibex coach Yohannes Sahle has expressed his satisfaction at the news of Rwanda Amavubi having accepted their request to play an International friendly before their Afcon 2017 qualifiers but on the same breath he told Soka25east.com Ethiopia Football Federation had not yet received the confirmation.
Sahle alluded to the fact that he has requested EFF to write to Rwanda,Uganda and Tanzania and the only country that has positively responded was the highest ranked team in the Cecafa region Uganda.
“I am happy to have read about Rwanda acknowledging the friendly match but i have talked to EFF who have not got any response from the Rwandan federation.I had told the federation to write to Rwanda,Uganda and Tanzania but only Uganda showed interest of playing an International friendly with Ethiopia. However it will be good preparations to also play Rwanda away in Kigali as long as we get the written confirmation”Sahle told Soka25east.com
Ethiopia are expected to play Seychelles away in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier 2017 that is why coach Yohannes Sahle who has led Walia Ibex to two important wins since taking over wanted to have his lads prepare with stronger sides since the Ethiopian Premier League is still on recess.
