Ethiopia’s new sensational defender Walid Atta underwent a succesful knee surgery last in Sweden to repair his injured knee Meniscus.
Speaking to Soka25east.com after the surgery Walid Atta was happy the operation went well and alluded to the fact that he will be sidelined for one month at his club BK Hacken as he recuperates from the surgery.
“The surgery went so well and i am happy it has been sorted out since it had been nagging.I twisted my knee in training when i was about to cross the ball .The doctor has intimated to me that i will be out for one month as i recuperate while undergoing physiotherapy ”
“However i am optimistic i will come back much more stronger and ready to give my team 100 percent .As a footballer injuries are a normal occurence that is why i am positive that all will be fine”Walid Atta told Soka25east.com
The menisci are crescent structures that act as a cushion between the femur and the tibia. The medial meniscus is on the inside of the knee and the lateral on the outside.
Walid Atta was intrumental for Ethiopia in the 2015 Africa cup of Nations qualifers playing in 4 matches after being invited by coach Mariano Barreto.
