Ethiopia Ladies football team popularly known as Lucy are buoyant and very optimistic ahead of the crucial 2016 FIFA U-20 Women World Cup second leg final round qualifying match that will be played in Kumasi on Sunday.
Lucy drew with Ghana’s Black Princesses 2-2 in the first leg hosted by Ethiopia on October 24th.In the match the Ghana U20 side took the lead after Hassabi Muso scored an own goal very early into the game.
Loza Abera however equalised for the Ethiopians after her 15th minute strike.
The Ethiopian forward then scored again in the 22nd minute to give the home side the lead.
Coach Didi Dramani’s side came into the second half a goal down as they pushed for an equalizer.
Kate Adu Agyemang however scored barely 10 minutes to full-time to brighten Ghana’s chances in the second leg.
Ghana Coach Mas Ud Dramani and his side arrived in Kumasi on Tuesday and as part of preparations for the match will face a Kumasi select-side in a test game while the Ethiopians were expected to arrive in Kumasi later Friday ahead of the game which will kick off at 3:00pm on Sunday.
Ethiopian U-20 Side Lucy hope to make history away in a game most pundits believe could go either way in a ding dong battle that will guarantee the winners a place in the 2016 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
