Ethiopia Walia Ibex will play their second friendly match scheduled in their two week tour in Brazil when they face Club Gama in Brasilia where they have set up camp.
Club Gama is one of the biggest club in the Brasilia town and are famed for producing top players it will be a tricky match that will see coach Mariano Barreto spoiled for choice after all the players arrived in camp having more options that he had in the first game that Ethiopia lost 1-0.
“I am happy with the way the preparations are coming out and its important to take note that Brazilian football culture is very different and one of the best in the World .This kind of friendlies are important because they give the team much more impetus and confidence when they face both tactical and technical players “Mariano Barreto told Soka25est.com
Ethiopia are using the Brazil tour to prepare for the tough Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers where they are grouped alongside Mali,Malawi and Algeria who recently impressed at the World Cup hosted in Brazil.
The mood in the Walia camp has been buoyant as the players trained in high level modern facilities and stadiums giving them a glimpse of how footballers in top footballing countries are treated like royalty.
The game on Saturday will be the third for Coach Mariano Barreto since he took over as 3 more other friendlies have been lined up before they make their way back to Addis Ababa August 23.
