Ethiopia’s Women National Under 20 team produced a virtuoso perfomance in Barhir Dar beating favourites Cameroon 2-1 to knock them out of the World Cup Qualifiers.

The victorious ladies put aside the harrowing treatment meted on them while in Cameroon where they had to endure cold night at the Airport after they were neglected by the Cameroon football federation to put up a spirited perfomance that was lauded by many pundits.

The win ensured Ethiopia advanced to the last round of the Women U-20 World Cup where they will face off with Burkina Faso in September.

In constrast the Ethiopian football federation (EFF) accorded the Cameroonians first class treatment upon arrival in Ethiopia.
