Ethiopia:History as first ever woman coach leads Dire Dawa to the Ethiopian Premier League Promotion

History was today made in Ethiopia and the entire East Africa after the first ever Woman coach Meseret Manni led his team Dire Dawa Kenema to the Prestigious Ethiopian Premier League.

It’s was a one off moment in the Ethiopian National League semi final as Meseret’s side produced a virtuoso performance to crash Jimma Aba Bunna 2-0 with goals from Abdulfelah Kemal in the 12th minute as Belay Ababneh sealed the win in the 64th minute.

An elated Coach Meseret praised his players as they got promotion back to the Premier league “It’s a great day for Dire Dawa making our way back to the Ethiopian Premier League I am more than elated and I want to thank my players for the hardwork and effort I am still over the moon as I try to digest thus great victory”Meseret told Soka25east.com

On the other hand Hossana City was the other team promoter to the Premier league when they upset Halaba Kenema 3-0 in a one sided game.
