Struggling Ethiopian Premier League giants Ethiopian Coffee have fired coach Nebojsa Vicicevic for poor performance.

Vicicevic, 54, replaced fellow Serbian Dragan Papadic at the end of the 2014/15 season in August – becoming the second foreigner to handle the Addis outfit.

The former Hearts of Oak (Ghana) coach was in charge of nine league outings winning two, drawing four and losing three. They are currently 10th on the 16-team log with 10 points.

His biggest achievement was the 1-0 win over arch rivals St. George in the “Sheger derby” in week 8.

Gezaghen Ketema will assume the hot seat on an interim basis – assisted by Edulu Derje. Their immediate assignment is a league fixture against Hawassa City in Addis tomorrow (Wednesday 11).

Coffee become the second team to sack its head coach after Dedebit, who dismissed Yohannes Sahle three matches into the new season.
