Ethiopian International Umed Oukri was on the mark as Al ittihad Alexandria held fancied visitors Sporting Lisbon 2-2 in an exciting match played at the Alexandia stadium for Ittihad centenial Anniversity.
Umed Oukri who recently joined Ittihad from St.George in Ethiopia where he was the top scorer broke the deadlock in the 28th minute weaving his way past a hapless Sporting Lisbon defence that was caught napping as his shot deflected on Rui Patricio resulting in a corner that was tapped in calmly by Umed who scored his first goal for the Egyptian outfit as the thousands of fans burst into joy and jubilation.
Ittihad has several opportunities as Egyptian international Shikabala mesmerized the fans with his crisp passes playing for Sporting Lisbon
In the 82nd minute, Tanaka scored for Sporting with a well-placed shot past the keeper . As the game was drawing to a close and inside injury time, Ittihad won a free-kick in the edge of the box. The shot hit the crossbar, and in the continuation of the play, a cross found substitute Ali Afifi, who headed the ball into the back of the net, giving the Ittihad fans a final burst of joy to their par as Umed Oukri celebrated a great debut with a fine goal.
