Etoile Sportive du Sahel have sacked coach Hubert Velud following yesterday’s humiliating 6-2 defeat away to Al Ahly in the African Champions League semifinal second leg.
Velud, 58, watched in horror as the Cairo giants ripped them apart at the dreaded Borg El Arab Stadium, Alexandria, Egypt to storm to the finals for the first time since 2013.

The Tunisians managed a slim 2-1 first leg win but could stop a ruthless Al Ahly from overturning the score in the return match to sail through on 7-4 aggregate.
The Red Devils – chasing a record ninth title will face Morocco’s Wydad Casablanca in the two legged finals.
Prior to the Etoile job, Velud coached DR Congo side TP Mazembe for one season winning the CAF Confederations Cup.
The French-born former goalkeeper was however shown the down earlier this year for failing to qualify the Ravens to the group stage of the African Champions League.
