Express FC fans have forced out chairperson Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi from office for lacking leadership skills as club’s fortunes continue to dwindle each day with poor results.
According to reports, club’s fans held impromptu elections on Friday to replace Kiyingi who was dormant to give direction to members during his two year tenure.
She has been replaced by Hassan Bulwadda who will hold the position for the next six months, in fans bid to sort administrative problems that have hampered the club performance this season.
Nakiwala who also serves as the third Vice President at FUFA came into office on June 2016 having been directly appointed by the club’s president replacing Francis Ntalazi.
During Nakiwala’s tenure, Red Eagles were able to secure sponsorship from DSTV but the Wankulukuku based outfit performance in the league and domestic cup has not been satisfactory this season.
The East Africa’s famous outfit are now staring at relegation as they are currently sitting at the bottom of the Uganda Premier League table with only 14 points from 18 outings.
