Express FC’s executive committee ended weeks of speculation on Monday as they confirmed what has already been in the public domain – the appointment of George “Best” Nsimbe as Red Devils technical director.
The former Tusker FC gaffer will join Shafiq Bisaso who is the head coach in a bid to save the side from Uganda Premier League relegation.
The appointment of Nsimbe has been branded as efforts to beef up the technical bench but it will no doubt be interested as the management’s means of tightening the screws on Bisaso.
Read Eagles seems now to be placing its faith in an old friend in Nsimbe who brings a wealth of experience to the feeble side having held coaching stints in the country with KCCA FC where he won the country’s top tier thrice and also Vipers SC.
“Coach Shafiq Bisaso requested that we bring in George Nsimbe to offer his experience as he attempts to save the club from relegation and given the man’s experience there was no reason for us to refuse,”said Express patron Hassan Bulwadda in an interview with Nile Post.
“Nsimbe will be here for the rest of the season and we shall asses him after and decide on the next move accordingly. What we know is that we have got the perfect solution to our struggles and are positive that things will change in the games to come,”he added.
Express FC is currently rock bottom on the 16-team Uganda premier league log with 16 points in twenty games and is on the verge of relegation for the first time in the club’s long history.
