Fashion Sakala has withdrawn from Zambia squad to play Guinea Bissau on Sunday for Cameroon 2019 African cup of Nations with sources close to the Football Association of Zambia FAZ citing personal reasons for his absence.
The 21 year old was left out of Sven Vandenbroek Africa Cup of Nations squad.
Zambia beat Guinea Bissau 2-1 at the National Heroes Stadium after goals from Stopila Sunzu and Justin Shonga on Wednesday to boost their hopes of reaching the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
Chipolopolo Afcon winners in 2012 were winless in their first two qualifying matches having taken one point from qualifiers against Mozambique and Namibia.
However they now move up to top spot in Group K on four points after comfortably seeing of Guinea Bissau who also have four points.
Mozambique also on four points will look to leapfrog their rivals when they host Namibia on Saturday.
Sakala made his debut for Zambia National football team on September 2017 in a 2018 FIFA World cup qualifier against Algeria.He also featured for Zambia U/20 that won the 2017 edition of the Afcon scoring 3 goals.
