The Football Association of Zambia(FAZ) has announced adjustments in the final fixtures of the 2016 MTN FAZ Super League.
According to a statement on FAZ’s official Facebook page, adjustments were made in response to fair play concerns raised on Wednesday, November 30 by Nkana Football Club which questioned why the final round of matches takes place during the weekend of 3rd to 4th December, when some rescheduled matches will be played on 7th and 10th December.
In their communication to FAZ General Secretary Ponga Liwewe, Nkana FC contended that they would be disadvantaged in the race for second position if they played their final match on December 4 while their rivals Zesco United were allowed to play two more matches after that date.
Nkana also stated that there were other teams in the relegation zone fighting for survival who would be similarly disadvantaged.
As a response to the concerns raised by Nkana, FAZ pushed forward their match with Forest Rangers from 4th to 10th December.
FAZ has also pushed forward from 3rd to 10th December the match between Green Eagles and Lusaka Dynamos.
The rest of the Week 34 fixtures remain unchanged as follows:
