Power Dynamos Vs Red Arrows
Arthur Davies Stadium
15:00hrs
I don’t agree with the Chairman of Power Dynamos who clearly states that if Power Dynamos lose then the friendship with the technical bench would be affected. That for me is a clear statement that the axe is slowly following Tenant Chilumba. I won’t support that because that may actually plunge Power Dynamos in more problems. The Exco delayed in letting TC go and choosing a Red Arrows fixture as a measure is a wrong time to do that. This game has diverted the good preview between these two sides to the status of TC as Head coach and the performance of Power Dynamos this season already.
Power Dynamos has played three games, winning one and losing two, they have a game in hand against ZANACO, they have lost to Nchanga Rangers and Zesco United. They also labored to beat NAPSA on the first day. It looks like a different team that won the Charity Shield and remember every time Power Dynamos has won the Charity Shield they don’t win the league.
Is it too early to count DINAMO out of the Title? Not yet but if the fortunes are to change the change has to start with RED ARROWS who are also looking for a first win of the season having had drawn their two games played this season so far.
They play Red Arrows with a very good record against the Airmen, in the last 20 games between these two sides, Power Dynamos have 10 wins while Red Arrows have 4 wins. There are six draws in the past 20 games. But Arthur Davies is not a fortress this season and Red Arrows will get a point in this one.
MY VERDICT: Power Dynamos 1-1 Red Arrows

Nchanga Rangers Vs Green Buffaloes
Nchanga Stadium
15:00hrs
The two sides played the last game at Independence stadium in Lusaka with Nchanga beating Lusaka Dynamos while Green Buffaloes drew with Lusaka Tigers. I don’t know why Green Buffaloes is already dropping points in games they have to collect maximum points because if this continues they may just be removing their name on the top five favorites to win the 2016 title.
For Nchanga Rangers every point they are getting matters a lot for them and they would take anything they would take because they are the underrated team and that status is making them pick massive points. GBFC is one point behind Nchanga Rangers and the motivation is that a win against Nchanga means GBFC could end the weekend on number two if other results go their way.
Last season Green Buffaloes collected four points from the games involving Nchanga Rangers, beating Rangers in Chingola and drawing 1-1 in Lusaka but that was one of the worst season for Nchanga Rangers.
In the last 18 games between these two sides, GBFC is too strong having won 12 times, drawn 3 and lost 3. I thought GBFC played well away to Kabwe Warriors and that is a big statement that GBFC won’t be an easy side to beat if they don’t underrate teams as they did against Lusaka Tigers. Nchanga Rangers could have beaten Power Dynamos in Chingola but I just think they will lose two in a roll at home.
MY VERDICT: Nchanga Rangers 0-1 Green Buffaloes

Green Eagles Vs Lumwana Radiants
Independence Stadium
15:00hrs
Green Eagles have been very poor this season in the first four games played. Won zero, drew one and lost three is the worst start in a long time for Eagles and they will be hoping this is the end of that winning streak at home to Lumwana Radiants who will be playing their third away game in one week. Green Eagles have only scored two goals but conceded six and the two teams meeting are the worst defensive teams as they have conceded six more than any other team in the league.
It’s been a long journey for Lumwana and I just don’t see them beating Green Eagles this weekend because it’s not easy to play Eagles at home and they are desperately looking for the three points as well. I think Lumwana will score but it won’t be enough as Eagles will win.
MY VERDICT: Green Eagles 2-1 Lumwana Radiants

Kabwe Warriors Vs Mufulira Wanderers
Godffery Ucar Chitalu Stadium
15:00hrs
The big one and the game of the weekend for me and it’s Kabwe Warriors at home to Mighty Mufulira Wanderers and this fixture takes us back to 2005 the last time the two sides met in the League, Kabwe Warriors winning 3-0 in Kabwe and drew 0-0 in Mufulira. Before that the teams met during the 2002 League and again Kabwe Warriors were too good for Mufulira Wanderers, beating the Mufulira outfit in Mufulira 3-0 and again 1-0 in Kabwe.
That’s the record Mighty will be hoping to stop while Kabwe Warriors would rather lose to Nampundwe but not to Mufulira Wanderers. It doesn’t get any better than this.
Kabwe Warriors are in the relegation zone and they will be desperately looking for three points to get off that dreaded zone and the visitor is the old enemy in Mighty Mufulira Wanderers.
I don’t think Mufulira Wanderers has done enough to beat Kabwe Warriors away in Kabwe it will be a serious achievement if they are to do that. Kabwe Warriors too should work on their strikers if at all they are to move out of the relegation zone this weekend. It’s a tight one but I think the advantage will be with the home team unless Chabinga will shuffle his cards too well, Manfred has good players but I think sometimes he doesn’t know how to pick his cards well and the team for me is yet to replace Jacob Ngulube. It’s a big call but I think Kabwe Warriors will get its first win this weekend.
MY VERDICT: Kabwe Warriors 2-0 Mufulira Wanderers

Mufulira Blackpool Vs Nakambala Leopards
Kachofa Stadium
15:00hrs
I can imagine the atmosphere in Mufulira when Blackpool walk into their own stadium for the first time this season in the super League. It will be close as it was when they qualified on the last day of the season in division one last season. This is a big game for Blackpool because it means a lot for its fans and sponsors. They did get a valid point away at Shinde in the mid-week and that should give them enough confidence to grab this one.
They welcome Nakambala not an easy side to beat and they will be a serious team in this encounter. If Blackpool wants to survive these are the games to pick points especially at home. Nakambala have one win and two draws while Blackpool have one draw and two loses. I just think and just think that this is a start of a fight for survival of Blackpool as I think they will be able to grab three points in this encounter.
MY VERDICT: Mufulira Blackpool 1-0 Nakambala Leopards

SUNDAY 10th April 2016
Nkwazi Vs NAPSA Stars
Independence Stadium
13:00hrs
Nkwazi would have loved to hear that Lumwana would prefer playing the week four fixture in Lusaka than in Lumwana and they did get advantage of the fixture by being the first team to score four goals and producing the first hat trick of the season.
As Nkwazi was enjoying the goal gallows NAPSA was losing at home to Forest Rangers.
The two meet with Nkwazi hoping to go to seven points and while NAPSA hoping to get off the relegation zone.
I know of four ties in the Super League between these sides with NAPSA winning two, losing one and drawing one. NAPSA have been playing too well without winning so far and their fortunes won’t change in this fixture. I think we shall experience a goal less draw here. These teams almost play same type of football and it will be a boring game.
MY VERDICT: Nkwazi 0-0 NAPSA

Lusaka Tigers Vs Nkana
Independence Stadium
15:00hrs
Lusaka Tigers welcome the league leaders at Independence stadium and it’s the second time Nkana are coming to the capital this season. The first time they visited they beat Nkwazi 2-1 on the first day of the season.
Am impressed with Nkana so far this season and should continue with this run then my thoughts in the off season that Nkana will win the league may just come true. Nkana are scoring from all areas of the pitch and that is a good sign for the team hoping to emulate the 2013 season. Nkana are almost welcome Chris Munthali back after the FAZ ban and that will definitely add more depth in the defense with Jacob Ngulube controlling the flow of the pace in the middle of the pack, Nkana could near perfection this season. It’s almost a complete team.
I don’t think Lusaka Tigers will have a chance against Nkana because I think so far in the absence of ZESCO Nkana are the best this season so far. Winning four out of four is a serious statement and a win at Independence Stadium this Sunday will mean 5/5! It’s possible.
I just think Nkana will be too strong for Lusaka Tigers even with the confidence of Matero support the Black Mountain side a proving a real deal.
MY VERDICT: Lusaka Tigers 0-2 Nkana
