FAZ MTN SUPER LEAGUE WEEK FOUR DONE

Mufulira Wanderers yet to pick any point-As Lumwana Rub shoulders with Zesco!!
**********************************
WINNERS AND LOSERS

KONKOLA BLADES 0-2 ZANACO

ZANACO picked their first three three points on the road away to Konkola Blades via 2-0 victory courtesy of goals from Ernest Mbewe and Saith Sakala who were both getting their second goals of the season to push Zanaco to 7 points and end the weekend in the top four.

Konkola Blades for teke first defeat at home though they will consider it a disadvantage having had moved away from home due to TV coverage . The game was played in Chingola. ZANACO played well and deserved the win.
……………………………………………………….

MUFULIRA WANDERERS 0-2 LUMWANA RADIANTS

Perhaps its the confidence that is now lacking with the Mufulira Wanderers boys and the new coaches of Justin Chinama and Wilson Mwale started on a losing note with Lumwana getting the three points with all goals scored in the second half after a lot of misses by Mufulira Wanderers in the first half.

Lumwana is an organised team this season and they will trouble a lot of teams .In this game, Simon Nkhata and Chanda Mushili got the goals to keep Lumwana on top sharing same points with Zesco United. A good weekend for Lumwana and for Mighty they stay bottom with four losses after four games.
………………………………………………………………

NKWAZI 0-1 NAPSA

Finally Napsa got an away victory against Nkwazi with Chitiya Mususu scoring the lone goal of the game and that was enough to get the Pensioners the second win of the season and move them to 6 points and end the weekend in the mid table.

Nkwazi get into the relegation zone.
……………………………………………………..

NAKAMBALA LEOPARDS 1-2 CITY OF LUSAKA

City of Lusaka were one of the big winners of the weekend getting three points in Mazabuka with a brace from Dominic Mulenshi and that will spur better confidence especially after dropping points at home prior to that game. City end week four just outside the top four and very few people expected them to be there.
Junior Zulu goal for Nakambala will only be remembered as a consolation and not enough to get anything in this encounter. The fans though will be disappointed as they thought this was a winable game.

City are lighting chances for survival but its a long road ….
…………………………………..………

FOREST RANGERS 1-0 LUSAKA DYNAMOS

Forest picked a great win against Lusaka Dynamos in a game played at Ndola’s Trade Fair Ground on a Sunday afternoon and that means two wins on a bounce after getting the away victory in Kabwe in week three. Logic Ching’andu scored the penalty in the first half and survived all the attacks from Lusaka Dynamos. The Forest Rangers Goal keeper was the heroe after stopping sure goals. That result was enough for Forest Rangers to end the week in the top four .
For Lusaka Dynamos its their first loss of the season and are yet to get a win in the 2017 season . Time is running out.

DRAWS

A total of five draws were on the cards in week three with only one game without goals .

BUILDCON 1-1 POWER DYNAMOS

Buildcon were boosted by the arrival of John Mark Makwata who walked into the starting line up after successfully getting a FIFA clearance. As expected he was the creator of the Buildcon Goal that Chavda Maisha scored. The first goal of the season for Buildcon.

Buildcon toiled with Power Dynamos and they were a better side of the game and deserved the three points but as they say, there is sometimes lucky in football.
The goal keepers for both sides have saved these teams. Fwayo Tembo scored the equaliser via a penalty. Power could have gone down but a goal which a lot believed was a clear goal was disallowed. wrongly judged offside!!
Power Dynamos survive.
……..,………………………………………

RED ARROWS 1-1 KABWE WARRIORS

Red Arrows again failed to pick maximum points at home when they let a Daniel Sibanda goal get cancelled out by a Clement Mwape equaliser to end the game 1-1.Red Arrows close week four on 7 points while Kabwe Warriors will have to negotiate their passage out of the relegation zone in week five.
……………………………………………..

NCHANGA RANGERS 1-1 GREEN BUFFALOES

This was an expected draw especially looking at what the two teams had done in the last three three games. They are the two teams lacking consistence and the draw is a fair result for the two with the consolation that they end the week out of the bottom four.
……………………………………………

NKANA 2-2 ZESCO UNITED

The long awaited encounter between NKANA and Zesco United ended with the two teams sharing the points. Zesco leading 2-0 in the first 20 minutes allowed Nkana to pick a point after goals from Ronald Kampamba and Ronald Chibwe . Earlier Jesse Were and Dave Daka got the two goals for Zesco United.
Zesco United end the week on top of the league table while Nkana are 11th.
………………………………………….

GREEN EAGLES 0-0 REAL NAKONDE

The only game of the weekend that ended without a goal was in Choma were Real Nakonde got another valuable point away against a very good Green Eagles team.
Green Eagles and fifth while Real Nakonde still have to find ways of getting off relegation zone.

MY STATISTICS FOR WEEK ONE

Number of Goals scored: 19 GOALS

BEST TEAM OF WEEK SIX FOR ME

LUMWANA RADIANTS
Lumwana Radiants for me will be the best team of the week for me and they are excellently playing very well. That away victory at Mufulira Wanderers is proving a good team and it showed again this past weekend that they are ready to fight. They end the fourth week joint leaders with Zesco but are only second due to less goals scored compared to Zesco United.

MOST IMPROVED

NKANA
Coming from 2-0 down and getting a point against Zesco United, a team that outplayed them in the final of the Charity Shield is a great sign of improvement for Zeddy Sailet and his boys. That was serious learning from the weaknesses seen last time the two teams met.

MOST DISAPPOINTING TEAM

MUFULIRA WANDERERS
They maybe unlucky not to have gotten any goals in the first half against Lumwana but then going four out of four of losses is not good for the team . They still end as the most disappointing team.

FIGHTING RELEGATION

MUFULIRA WANDERERS
Too early to say but losing four out four is seriously worrying. Mighty needs to wake up from this dream and start working or else they do a Blackpool!!

BEST PLAYER OF THE WEEK

DONASHANO MALAMA (NKANA)
Donashano sent out in the Charity shield final against Zesco came back against the same team and did all the donkey work to make sure Nkana earned a point when it looked liked it was another day of hurting. Donashano played a vital role for the Nkana Vs Zesco United draw.
