17 goals were scored by the end of the seven games played across the country in the Super League and we have a fourth team to score four goals this season and that is Kabwe Warriors.
Here is a summary of what happened across the country on a Wednesday Afternoon.
Winners:Zesco,Kabwe Warriors,Power Dynamos,Nkana,Lusaka Dyanmos
Five teams ate the end of Week eleven add up three points to their earlier points
Zesco:
That long wait for three points for the defending champions came to an end on Wednesday afternoon as they travelled to Chingola to take on Nchanga Rangers with so much expectations from the Club and fans. They had gone four games without a win and this was a must win. Remember ZESCO don’t lose at home and Jesse Were and John Chin’ganu with the goals and that result means ZESCO leapfrog ZANACO who drew at home to NAPSA.
KABWE WARRIORS
You have to love the spirit of Kabwe Warriors and I said that before the game that this team needs coordination and I think they are getting there. Forest Rangers isn’t a bad side but to score four past them means Kabwe Warriors played very well. Once again Josephat Kasusu delivering the goods with the brace moves Kabwe Warriors to seventh on the Log two points behind Nkwazi. It was a good result. The other goals came from Godfrey Ngwenya and Claud Bwalya.
Power Dynamos:
It was not going to be an easy game but playing at Arthur Davis was always going to give advantage to the host and it paid. A lone goal from Fwayo Tembo scoring his first goal. That win pushed Power Dynamos to fifth position on same points with Green Buffaloes and we can all confidently say POWER DYNAMOS is back in contention,
Lusaka Dynamos:
Lusaka Dynamos are out of the relegation zone after a brace of Kennedy Musonda secured three points against Lumwana Radiants who have now gone on 17th position in serious relegation waters. For Lusaka Dynamos it’s a good rise and a good result for the midweek.
Nkana
The game of the midweek produced the fastest goal through Walter Bwalya but as usual Nkana are failing to finish games fast and this will cost them the league. Mufulira Wanderers will be disappointed that they have gone back without a point but will be hopeful that they will get out of this situation, they did play a good game and equalizing through Progress Kalenga meant the team was able to fight.
Nkana needs to work on taking long to finish games up if we are to see the 13th title come to Wusakile.
Draws:
Two draws recorded with the big one coming at Sunset Stadium
ZANACO 0-0 NAPSA
Zanaco fail to score for the second time this season and NAPSA close the gates to frustrate the team on fire. The result mean ZANACO give up second spot to Zesco who won in Chingola but have three games in hand. For NAPSA it’s a welcome point and it will again add more resilience in that Pensioners that have picked good results in the last three weeks.
Mufulira Blackpool 2-2 Nkwazi
Mufulira Blackpool failed to maintain the lead again for the third time at home and fourth of the season when they allowed Nkwazi to come back and lead 2-1. The equalizer from Patrick Kongolo has once again given Blackpool a very important point and once again they will hope better things will start from there. But Blackpool should start picking points at home. The wait for the first win still being awaited.
Losses:Lumwana Radiants,Mufulira Wanderers,Nchanga Rangers,Forest Rangers,Green Eagles
Very bad week ten for the five teams.
Lumwana Radiants:
Another loss and worse off gets into serious relegation waters on number 17. Lusaka is proving a very bad place for Lumwana who travel back to prepare facing GBFC on Saturday. It’s a bad period.
Nchanga Rangers:
Another loss and this time at home to the defending Champions. The loss leaves Nchanga Rangers on position 10 with a game in hand.
Mufulira Wanderers:
A painful defeat but one which should actually give hope to the players and the fans. Talking to the fans who watched the game, confirm that there is hope as the team is good but needs a very good coach to governise them. The process is ongoing and come week 12 the situation looks like working. We have to wait.
Nkana is a big team and losing 2-1 is not a bad result at the moment for Mufulira Wanderers. The team will be looking forward to the weekend game as they face Tenant Chilumba’s former team with TC possibly will be on the bench for Wanderers. That is one game to look forward for.
Forest Rangers:
Patrick Phiri loses for the first time away in Kabwe against Kabwe Warriors and information coming from Kabwe fans is that the team 9FOREST RANGERS) played very good football and the team will be hard to beat. Forest Rangers is now 13th on the log.
Green Eagles:
Green Eagles always faces a challenge to score away in such fixtures and it was again difficult to score at Athur Davies against Power Dynamos as they lost 1-0 to Fwayo Tembo lone goal.

Goals:
Number of Goals scored: 17
Werk 11 best
Kabwe Warriors:
Scoring four goals passed Forest Rangers means Kabwe Warriors for me gets the team of week ten. Good team and am happy for Claud Bwalya for the goal which reports suggests was a very good goal.
Most improved”
Napsa will get the most improved team for me in the midweek stopping ZANACO at Sunset for just the second time is a big improvement for NAPSA. Well done, it’s like getting back to 2014 when NAPSA won the best defensive team of the season.
Most disappointing team:
Mufulira Blackpool
Failing for the fourth time and third at home will be one worst record which eludes the team from getting the first win of the season.
Fighting relegation:
Mufulira Blackpool will end the week on the bottom as the only team without a win and drawing at home to Nkwazi after leading will mean they are the early candidates of fighting relegation.
