Nchanga Rangers VS Nkana
Nchanga Stadium
15:00hrs
Live on Super Sport
It’s the first game of week 23 and in form Nkana take a short trip to Chingola to take on Nchanga Rangers hoping to cut the difference from ZANACO at the top to five points. Nchanga Rangers will be hoping to win this one and go 7th above Nakambala Leopards and Red Arrows.
Interestingly the last 15 games between these sides have 5 wins for Nkana, 4 wins for Nchanga Rangers and 6 draws. Nkana won the game played at Nkana Stadium this season which ended 4-2 in which Nchanga were very competitive but since then Nchanga has not been consistent and they have now lost a total of 9 games, drawn 6 and won 7. Nchanga Rangers should also improve on the defence as they allow too many goals, they have now allowed 23 as compared to 17 that Nkana has conceded. Nkana are coming from a 3-0 victory against Lusaka Tigers while Nchanga Rangers were unfortunately beaten 3-2 by Green Buffaloes at Independence Stadium.
This will be a close one once again and Nkana last beat Nchanga Rangers away on 12th July 2014 when the result was 3-1. I have little confidence in Nchanga Rangers and they have to prove me wrong on this one because I think Nkana will win it. Am keen in watching Sate Sate (RONALD KAMPAMBA) and see how he settles in this Nkana formation.
MY VERDICT: Nchanga Rangers 1-2 Nkana

ZANACO Vs Green Buffaloes
Sunset Stadium
15:00hrs
This is the big one and the game of the week for me. Sunset is expected to have a good game of football. ZANACO are the top scorers of the season so far having scored 49 goals with Nkana following on 34 . ZANACO has also not allowed a goal in a home game this season and will have to wait if GBFC can actually manage to score and dent that record that the bankers hold.
Green Buffaloes though has a serious challenge this season building on wins and that’s the more reason that they are no longer fighting for the league. They are off ZANACO already. 13 points is the difference and I don’t think they can eclipse that with the form ZANACO is in.
If GBFC turn on at Sunset, ZANACO can as well receive their first defeat at home and that would be good news to ZESCO United and Nkana who are clinging on the flop of ZANACO especially with the belief that the teams around ZANACO know the bankers to be poor finishers in the recent years.
The last 21 games between these teams doesn’t inspire for GBFC and the soldiers find it hard to beat ZANACO. In those 21 games ZANACO has 11 wins while GBGF has only 3 wins, 7 are draws. the last time GBFC beat ZANACO was in 2013 and already ZANACO has an away victory of 1-0 this season.
But ZANACO are determined and I think it will be business as usual at Sunset Stadium.
MY VERDICT: ZANACO 2-1 Green Buffaloes

Green Eagles Vs NAPSA Stars
Independence Stadium-Choma
15:00hrs
Green Eagles got off the relegation zone with that massive win away in North Western Province, never an easy place to go and pick points. Green Eagles became only the second team to win away in Lumwana and that was the first time Green Eagles had scored more than once in a game this season.
Satchmo Chakawa as I have alluded in the last three weeks has brought some confidence and belief in the Eagles team and he is marshaling the defence very well. I hope Green Eagles manages to keep the goal keeper because am sure other teams have eyes on Chakawa.
NAPSA is the visitor at Independence Stadium in Choma hoping for a win and a loss for Lusaka Dynamos and Lumwana Radiants to move them off the relegation zone. They are from beating Nkwazi in week 22 and that will give them much confidence. But it’s never easy to play Green Eagles in Choma. Nakambala got the three points in week 21 and I don’t think Eagles will allow NAPSA to do that. A win for Eagles for me which will actually easy their relegation fears.
MY VERDICT: Green Eagles 1-0 NAPSA

Lusaka Tigers Vs Mufulira Wanderers
Independence Stadium
15:00hrs
Tiger Tanaka was the common slogan in the first round of the FAZ MTN Super League 2016 and even with all that famous slogan Lusaka Tigers has only managed to win three games, Nchanga Rangers, Lusaka Dynamos and Mufulira Blackpool are the victims so far Lusaka Tigers. .
Mufulira Wanderers will be visiting Independence stadium and its one place that is not easy to play on the artificial turf that other teams have had challenges playing on. Wanderers are called the experts in draws this season and Lusaka Tigers forced one of the draws at Shinde Stadium. That game ended 0-0.
Tigers come into this fixture from a 3-0 demolition in Kitwe while Mufulira Wanderers drew their week 22 game against Kabwe Warriors.
The challenge that Mufulira Wanderers has is upfront and they need to take their chances and start scoring or else they will keep the tag of specialists in draws. They have drawn the last two and lost the week 20 fixture at home against Green Eagles. The last player to score for Mufulira Wanderers was Rahim Osman in another 1-1 draw at Nkoloma Stadium. For Lusaka Tigers its worse off, Mathews Sichone was the last player to score in week 17 in a game against Power Dynamos. They lost that game.
With these statistics we expect a closed game but I think Mufulira Wanderers play better away and I just have that feeling that they will get this one as Lusaka Tigers is not inspiring and you wonder where goals will come from in the Lusaka Tigers team.
MY VERDICT: Lusaka Tigers 0-2 Mufulira Wanderers.

Mufulira Blackpool Vs Lumwana Radiants
John Kachofa Stadium
15:00hrs
I will be quick to say this I think will be the first win for Mufulira Blackpool as I think they are better than Lumwana Radiants at the moment. Lumwana has slickened in form and am yet to understand the challenge that Lumwana is experiencing but truth be told, there is some drop in form for the North Western Province outfit.
Radiants are now on 22 points and that is the relegation point as things stand another loss with Lusaka Dynamos and NAPSA winning their games, Lumwana will go into relegation.
Mufulira Blackpool have gotten two draws against Mufulira Wanderers and an away point at Nakambala in Mazabuka and I think it’s time for a win. They may be going down into relegation waters but a win I feel is inevitable in this fixture.
MY VERDICT: Mufulira Blackpool 2-1 Lumwana Radiants

Kabwe Warriors Vs Nakambala Leopards
Godfrey Ucar Chitalu Stadium
15:00hrs
Kabwe Warriors is one team that I have been impressed with recently and you could see the determination that the team has this season. One thing is certain, Kabwe Warriors doesn’t have any relegation fears and they will be safe. They lie sixth and a win in this encounter at home to Nakambala Leopards would still keep them sixth as they cannot manage that goal inferiority they have against ZESCO United but it would be a big boost to chase Green Buffaloes who are just six points away.
Kabwe Warriors has just lost once at home and that was to Nkana in week 20 when they went behind to a Jacob Ngulube goal.
They host Nakambala Leopards who beat them 2-0 in Mazabuka via Signs Chibambo and Venecious Mapande and that will be at the back of Kabwe Warriors minds but then it’s a different Nakambala Leopards that will feature in Kabwe, Players maybe the same but the tactics of the team has seriously changed and I just don’t see Kabwe Warriors failing to pick three points in this encounter.
MY VERDICT: Kabwe Warriors 2-0 Nakambala Leopards

Forest Rangers Vs Red Arrows
Levy Mwanawasa Stadium
15:00hrs
Live on Super Sport
Red Arrows lost at home to Power Dynamos last week and Forest Rangers drew with NAPSA in week twenty one and sat off in week 22 as ZESCO was out engaged in the CAF Champions league tour in Egypt.
Good game that will be live on the world of Champions and as I have been saying, Forest Rangers should get back to Dola Hill the soonest because Levy Mwanawasa Stadium looks to be drawing them back. The team doesn’t look that confident playing at Levy than they look at Dola Hill. That’s the advantage that Red Arrows have in this fixture. This looks like the neutral ground and suits both team. I think this will be draw.
MY VERDICT: Forest Rangers 1-1 Red Arrows

Power Dynamos Vs Lusaka Dynamos
Athur Davies Stadium
15:00hrs
Live on SuperSport
Lusaka Dynamos will have a serious encounter against Power Dynamos, they are from a serious beating of 4-0 against ZESCO United and they would want to bounce back the soonest and the victim is Lusaka Dynamos who are also coming from a serious baptism of goals against ZANACO in week 22 where they lost 6-1.
This will be another tough one for Lusaka Dynamos who will be fighting to get off the relegation zone but away games will be tough for Lusaka Dynamos. I think they will lose this one but with full concentration, Lusaka Dynamos can actually force a draw, Power Dynamos is a different team without Fwayo Tembo and they have to find another system as the concentration was around Fwayo who has since left. I hope they change their game plan soonest.
MY VERDICT: Power Dynamos 1-1 Lusaka Dynamos
