ZANACO Cruise…Mighty fail to win….ZESCO United giving up title
What a week and it defines the way the Super League title is heading to Sunset while the real battle is now in the relegation zone.
Here is the summary of the activities in the League this week 31
*************************
WINNERS AND LOSERS
Lusaka Tigers 1-2 Green Eagles
It was a great weekend for Green Eagles as the three points attained from Lusaka Tigers have really got them off the relegation danger while awaiting the FAZ disciplinary committee to finalize their case against Mufulira Blackpool. Andrew Phiri and Greenwell Witika responsible for the three points.
Lusaka Tigers are almost relegated but the consolation goal came from Ngole Ilunga but the team failed to keep hold of the lead. It’s a bad result for Tigers.
Green Eagles are game

Nchanga Rangers 1-2 Nkwazi
Nchanga Rangers finished the game with one man down as Clement Mwape was shown a red card in the second half but with goals, Mwila Kabwe and Justin Shonga scored the goals that have put Nchanga Rangers in serious relegation battle. Nchanga remain on 33 and Nkwazi are flying so high go above Red Arrows
What a weekend.

Power Dynamos 5-1 Nakambala Leopards
It was another bad tour of Nakambala Leopards in Kitwe that saw them receive five goals and only scored one. Patson Daka scored two goals and that brings his tally to 13 for the season who is now third on the scorers’ chart one behind Jesse Were. Kelvin Mubanga also scored a brace with Jimmy getting his first of the season after a long laying off due to injury. It would be a good confidence boost for Jimmy Ndhlovu.
Keegan Bwalya for Nakambala Leopards scored the consolation for the sugar boys who are slowly getting into the relegation battle and will have to turn their run into wins if they are to survive relegation.
Power are back!

Lusaka Dynamos 2-1 Red Arrows
Lusaka Dynamos who were 1/10 rated to win against Red Arrows surprised everyone by going 2-0 against Red Arrows and only Festus Mbewe scored a consolation for Red Arrows that has again brought light among the fans of Lusaka Dynamos and now they can also hope of fighting relegation. Kennedy Musonda scored his 6th while Luka Chamanga scored a penalty for Lusaka Dynamos.
Lusaka Dynamos effuse to give up

Nkana 2-1 NAPSA
The big story in Kitwe will be Walter Bwalya reaching 20 goals as top scorer and keeping pace clear off Jesse Were who failed to score in the game against Green Buffaloes on Saturday. But Simon Bwalya is becoming a consistent scorer for Nkana and scored his seventh goal of the season.
For NAPSA Collins Sikombe scored his fourth goal for the season and NAPSA remain on 38 points and will still be hoping for a couple of points to be guaranteed of staying.
Nkana up for second spot
_________________________
ZANACO 3-0 Forest Rangers
ZANACO are almost called Champions elect after beating Forest Rangers with scorers being Ziyo Tembo, Charles Zulu and Augustine Mulenga. ZANACO are close and have six games to play and will be targeting winning the four to be confirmed winners of the 2016 title.
The title is close….and ZANACO are have not yet conceded at home.

DRAWS
Mufulira Wanderers 0-0 Lumwana Radiants
The fight for relegation in Mufulira with the two teams ended in a goaless draw and the teams cancelled themselves to share a point in a game Mufulira Wanderers had to win to brighten their chances of surviving relegation. That result leaves Mufulira Wanderers in the relegation Zone and Lumwana Radiants gets to 34 points to join Green Eagles and Nakambala Leopards.
It becomes very worse for Mufulira Wanderers with Lusaka Dynamos winning against Red Arrows means Mighty have several teams to fight relegation with.
Tight race for Mighty Wanderers
______________________________
Green Buffaloes 1-1 ZESCO United
Zesco United left it late to allow the goal from Green Buffaloes after leading for close to the whole game after the Mwape Mwelwa who scored early on in the second half. It looked like Green Buffaloes were going to get the three points in this encounter but it was not to be as substitute Sebastian Mwansa scored the equalizer late on to give Green Buffaloes a crucial point.
Good bye title for ZESCO United

MY STATISTICS
NUMBER OF GOALS SCORED: 24
BEST TEAM OF WEEK 31:
Power Dynamos
Its not easy coming from an abandoned game and to focus in your net game by I think Power Dynamos reacted very well by beating Nakambala Leopards 5-1 and that is a serious concentration and the best way to give fans something to think about and celebrate. The abandoned game is now history.
MOST IMPROVED:
Lumwana Radiants
Lumwana Radiants after falling to Green Buffaloes in Lusaka and travelling to Mufulira Wanderers and getting a point off Mufulira Wanderers should have been a bonus and I think it’s a team on the rise.
FIGHTING RELEGATION:
Mufulira Wanderers
A bad weekend for Mufulira Wanderers as that draw brought in so many teams in the relegation fight and unfortunately for Mighty they also gave away their position to Lusaka Dynamos who won against Red Arrows in Lusaka .
BEST PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Charles Zulu
He is becoming a dependable player for ZANACO and the goal scored like from a corner was a beauty and Charles deserves that call to the national team . Well Done Charles.
Goal of the Week : Sebastian Mwansa
It was a great goal and you should watch it again, it was full concentration and no chance for Jacob Banda in goal for ZESCO United.
