The 15th edition of the Brookside sponsored East African Secondary sports Association will begin from August 25 to September 4. The city is located in Western Kenya, a few miles from the Uganda-Kenya boarder of Busia.
Initially, the city of Thika, 40 miles North East of Nairobi, had been picked as the host, but the FESSSA technical team and Kenyan Ministry of Education shifted the games to Eldoret after finding out that the venues and general infrastructure in Thika were not sufficient
The football matches pooling that was done will see Kibuli SS of Uganda headlining Pool A alongside Makongo of Tanzania,Hanika of Rwanda ,Barding of Kenya and Charawe of Zanzibar
Pool B has Alliance of Tanzania,Laiser Hill of Kenya ,Masaka of Uganda,Passenga of Kenya a team from South Sudan.
Pool C has L.Technique of Burundi ,Gisenyi Rwanda,Bukembe of Kenya and St Marys Kitende of Uganda .
In he girls category giants Wiyeta and St Johns Kaloleni will have been pooled apart .Wiyeta are in Pool A alongside Nginda of Kenya,Mutunda of Rwanda ,Nyakabiga of Burundi,Kabasila of Tanzania and Mukono of Uganda
Pool B has Kaloleni of Kenya,Remera of Rwanda ,Kawempe of Uganda ,Alliance of Tanzania ,Nyakach of Kenya and Masaka of Uganda
