Kenya have dropped six places to position 88th in the August FIFA ranking released today.
Neighbors Uganda remains the best ranked country in East Africa – climbing two placed to 71st in the global index.
During the month, Kenya played an international friendly against lowly ranked Mambas of Mozambique, who have dipped four places to 108th.
Uganda on the other hand played twice against Egypt in the Russia World Cup qualifiers – winning at home 1-0 before losing by a similar margin in the reverse leg.
Rwanda, who were inactive in the month are up one step to position 118th while Tanzania, who beat Botswana 2-1 have plummeted five places to 125th.
Burundi have climbed three places to 129 despite not playing any match during the last FIFA break.
Sudan are the biggest gainers – gaining 18 places to 134th while Ethiopia are the biggest losers sinking 24 places to 144th.
